My name is Aphrodite and together with Hedgie, my little hedgehog, we decided to create a series of eco-friendly, zero waste products to improve our mind/body health and our wellness. Quite so, the idea of the Hedgie series was born.

Our vision is to promote a clean and sustainable living by using environmental friendly materials with ecological degradation. The idea emerged from Nature itself, where everything has value and everything is used. This is the reason we want to create a circular economy, based on reusable products and recyclable packaging, as much as possible.

We pay particular attention to and we select with strict criteria the high quality materials we work with. We love to touch the materials with our own hands and give voice to things that express us. We mix, form, add our own touch and pack by hand. This personal engagement with our creations has a liberating effect on us.

In Hedgie we always try to bring Nature closer. Wood, cotton and wool give a feeling of comfort, warmth and authenticity to the house and they have a relaxing and beneficial effect on mind and body. Using natural materials is not just another fad. It is a conscious choice in life and culture. Handmade natural soaps, personal care products, scented soy candles and natural cement decorations are the outcome of our biophilic design.

For us, Hedgie is a place where we express our creativity and imagination. In this creative process, we engage with our entire being, we put aside our ego and every other difficulty. For us, creation is not only approaching the beautiful. It is a pleasant escape, a way to get to know ourselves deeper. Our imagination carries us to a universe, far from a standardized routine and we are able to make the world the kind of place we want to live in. There is a flow that carries us away and at the same time it makes us feel more alive. Our love and our contact with nature when combined with our artistic spirit help us to get the best out of ourselves. Creation brings a hearty feeling of joy and gives us the chance to discover pleasant and optimistic feelings.

And because we believe in the people with whom we share the same responsibility and the same hope, we cooperate with small artisans that have a common attitude towards life and the same aspect of the way we want to live.

Team Hedgie actively supports the Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois” standing by all those women who fought and won the bet of life.
